## Some random c-code: ##
```c
#import <stdio.h>
int main()
{
printf("Hello students of digital humanities!");
return 0;
# Expectations about IntroDH
---
## My Personal Expectations
* understand varying definitions of [Digital Humanities](http://whatisdigitalhumanities.com/)
* get knowledge about data analysis with R
* have a nice and interesting *Praktium*
###First Assignment:
_
##Expectations of the Course
As I chose "Introduction to the Digital Humanities" as part of the "Wahlbereich der Geistes- und Soyialwissenschaften," I would like to get a general look into the subject and figure out if I would like to continue the subject in the future. In doing so, I expect:
* to learn coding and skills which supplement my major (my major being [American Studies](https://americanstudies.uni-leipzig.de/))
* to improve my general coding skills and learn how to keep up with future coding advancements
* outside of those broad goals, I have little particular expectations due to my knowledge on the subject being rather limited
Mainly I just hope it's manageable.
### my expectations for that course
[before and after - just another progress pic](http://devcv.me/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/rMind.jpg)
Earlier this day it would have been great to be a cheetah. Not for staying in the same position for 8 hours, but to run away from this computer science stuff.
But now, after intensely consulting my old friend **'Mr. Google'**, I feel:
* **great**
* **motivated**
* **proud**
* **tired but happy**
Just like the guy below the cheetah;)
My former expectation for that course was:
**hopefully not attract attention by running away screaming and crying**
My present expectations for that course are:
1. **learn and understand the basics of coding**
2. **develop unknown abilities**
3. **pass this course**
4. **become a so called 'nerd';)**
